Out-of-Network, Made Straightforward
We’re a private-pay practice. You pay us directly at each session, and we give you a detailed “superbill” that most insurance plans accept for out-of-network reimbursement. After you’ve met your plan’s annual deductible, your insurer typically sends the reimbursement straight to you.
Checking Your Benefits—A Quick Script
- 1. Call the number on your insurance card and ask these questions.
- 2. “Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits for CPT code 90834 (for individual therapy)?”
- 3. “What percentage will you reimburse once I meet my deductible, and what’s the dollar allowable amount for 90834 with a licensed marriage and family therapist or psychologist?”
We’re here to guide you through this process and answer any questions about our out-of-network approach.
Note: HMO plans, TRICARE, Medicare, and Medicaid typically don’t offer out-of-network mental health coverage.
