Therapy Group of Charleston
In-Person Therapy
Some people want therapy to be a place they go: a quiet room, the same therapist across from them, and time set apart from everything else. Our Mount Pleasant office is that place. If you’re looking for a therapist in Mount Pleasant, SC, our marriage and family therapists see individuals, couples, families, children, and teens here, a short drive over the Ravenel Bridge from downtown Charleston.

Why Come In
Online therapy works well, and we offer it. Some people still find it easier to settle in after they’ve left the house, parked, and walked into a room set aside for this one thing. For some couples and families, sharing a room also makes it easier to slow a hard conversation down.
No laundry in the corner, no kids down the hall, no phone lighting up on the desk. For 45 minutes, the only thing on the agenda is what you came to talk about.
Couples and families share one room, and your therapist can see how each person reacts in the moment. That’s harder to catch when everyone is in a separate box on a screen.
Both of our therapists also meet by video. On a week when work is swamped, a child is home sick, or the day got away from you, meet online instead and pick up where you left off.
What to Expect
After a few questions about what you’re working on and when you’re free, you’ll see which of our therapists fits and book a time directly. If you’d rather talk it through first, call us at (843) 259-2145.
Give yourself a few extra minutes the first time, so you’re not rushing in from the car. Most people feel a little nervous before a first session. That’s normal, and it usually eases once the conversation starts.

Sessions run 45 minutes. The first one is mostly about what brought you in and what you’d like to be different. You don’t need a diagnosis, a plan, or the right words. If your child is the one coming in, Savannah Jennings usually meets with the parents first to hear your concerns and learn about your family.
Some weeks, coming in just doesn’t work. Those weeks, you can meet by video instead: the same therapist, with nothing to re-explain. You can go back and forth between the two as your weeks change.
Getting Here
Our office sits near Johnnie Dodds Boulevard and I-526, within easy reach of most of the Charleston area, and there’s parking in the lot in front of the office. A short, predictable trip makes it easier to keep your appointment on the weeks you’d rather cancel.
Cross the Ravenel Bridge into Mount Pleasant on US 17. The office is a short drive from there, close to Johnnie Dodds Boulevard.
I-526 runs close to the office, which keeps the trip simple from Daniel Island, North Charleston, and West Ashley.
Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms are a short drive away, and so is most of Mount Pleasant itself.
