Before joining Therapy Group of Charleston, Savannah spent nearly four years as a school counselor on Wadmalaw Island, where she led student groups, ran monthly parenting workshops, and helped families get the right support for their kids at school. A graduate of The Citadel’s school counseling program, she also brings play therapy experience and works with adults and couples, including premarital counseling.

I want therapy with me to feel like a place where you are heard, understood, and comfortable. That’s true whether you’re a parent worried about your child, a teen trying to handle big feelings, an adult in the middle of a life change, or a couple getting ready for marriage.
My background is in schools. As a school counselor, I worked alongside kids, parents, and teachers every day, and I saw how much changes when a child has the right support at home and at school. With younger clients, I use play and other hands-on tools so they can show me what they may not have words for yet. With parents, I focus on practical ways to support your child’s emotional regulation, communication, and coping.
My goal is for you to leave therapy more confident in yourself and your ability to handle life's challenges, with skills you can keep using long after our work together ends.
Savannah Jennings, M.Ed., Therapy Group of CharlestonMy approach is structured and practical. We’ll make room for your feelings, and we’ll also turn what we learn into clear goals and a plan that feels realistic and achievable. I’ll offer strategies you can try between sessions, and I’ll gently push when it helps you grow.
I work with children as young as five, teens, adults, and couples, and I see clients in person at our Mount Pleasant office. We’ll build on the strengths you already have and add new ones along the way. When you’re ready, I’d be glad to help you take the first step.
